Massina Micoli has a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto and is a registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Massina has been practicing for over 10 years in the field of Health Care, specifically Mental Health Care. She has offered support and counselling to youth, adults, and families over the years. She has certification in cognitive behavioural therapy and has provided therapy to individuals facing such challenges as depression, anxiety, grief, coping with illness, relationship struggles, and stress management. My therapy is based on evidence-based approaches to improving mental health challenges.
Massina became interested in perinatal care when she herself became a mother. She experienced challenges during pregnancy, birth and postpartum that had led her to want to help others gain the support and care they need during this time. Being a mom challenged her in many ways from having a challenging pregnancy and birth experience, to dealing with family and relationship challenges along the way. Massina feels since becoming a mother, she has become a stronger and more confident person. What helped her through the challenges was the help she received along the way! She knows firsthand how important it is to get help from others.
Massina knows she can help her clients gain the strength and confidence as she did. Her goal in therapy is to help clients strengthen relationships, improve mental health, and build healthy coping skills so that they can face whatever challenges in their day.
